Plan Details

PSC Protection Plans

Voice Plan: $1.25/month (available to Co-op members only)

Benefits include:

  • $40 Trip Charge is waived
  • $60/hour Labor Rate is waived
  • Troubleshoot voice and data service
  • Repair or replacement of faulty voice wiring and jacks, including damages due to lightning or power surges

Voice & Data Plan: $2.95/month

Benefits include:

  • Same benefits as Voice Plan (see above)
  • Repair or replacement of data wiring or DSL modem damage due to lightning or power surges
  • Up to three (3) Trip Charges are waived in any 12-month period

Voice, Video & Data Plan: $7.95/month

Benefits include:

  • Same benefits as Voice & Data Plan (see above)
  • FREE HIGH-DEFINITION (HD)
  • Troubleshoot video service
  • Repair or replacement of faulty video wiring, jacks, DSL modem and faulty Standard and Digital Video Recorder(s) Set Top Boxes (STBs), including damages due to lightning or power surges. Without Plan, STBs are $159 each and DVR is $299.
  • Replacement of DSL/Video modem.  Without Plan, modem is $49
  • Replacement of defective remote controls provided by PSC.  Without Plan, remotes (all models) are $20.00 each

Fixed Wireless Plan: $2.95/month

No contract - one month minimum required

Benefits include:

  • Trip Charge of $40 is waived
  • Troubleshooting/Repair Labor Charge of $60 is waived
  • Repair and replacement of defective hardware and wiring required to provide service.  Includes damages resulting from lighting and power surges

The Wireless Plan covers 100% of all maintenance expenses related to providing PSC High-Speed Wireless Internet service except as noted below.  Without the Plan, customer will be billed a minimum $40 Trip Charge.  Troubleshooting/Repair Labor Charge of $60 and charges to replace/repair defective equipment (maximum $99) may also be charged depending upon the severity of the problem and is at the sole discretion of PSC.

The following are NOT COVERED in the Voice, Video, & Data Plan

  • Batteries and battery replacements in remote controls
  • Mounting cords, cables, connectors, adapters, etc., whether provided by PSC or customer that are connected into a jack, STB and/or modem that provides signaling to televisions, computers, routers or telephones
  • Defective STBs or DSL/Video modem determined by PSC to be caused by customer negligence

The following are NOT COVERED in ALL Plans

  • Repair or replacement of any Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), such as devices connected into voice, video or data wiring, jacks, STBs, or DSL/Video modem: e.g., telephones, answering machines, satellite receiver, computers, routers, DVDs, VCRs, televisions, surge protectors, or any other electronics
  • Voice, video or data wiring and jack coverage for marine activity, recreational vehicles (RVs) and construction trailers, or other temporary or movable structures
  • Damage due to natural disasters, floods, or Acts of God, other than lightning and power surges
  • Nonstandard wiring that does not meet telephone industry standards or the National Electric Code Material Standards for carrying voice, video and data signals. (PSC’s Protection Plans will cover repairs to breaks in nonstandard wire, but only to restore the wire to its original condition.)
  • Repair or replacement of voice, video and data wiring and jacks due to malicious activity, vandalism, riot, civil disturbance, fire, flood, or natural disaster
  • Off Premise Extensions
  • Wiring installations in new or existing homes (prewire)
  • Multi-line businesses that have Key/PBX systems
  • Non-maintenance issues (e.g., customer requests on-site assistance with 'set up/hook-up' of new appliance such as TV, computer, entertainment system to their PSC service)

The following are NOT COVERED in the Fixed Wireless Plan

  • Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) such as computers, routers, surge protectors and any electronic equipment or devices connected to the wireless service
  • Repair and replacement of defective hardware and wiring due to customer negligence or vandalism

Service is provided M-F, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, and Saturdays 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, excluding PSC observed holidays. Service hours are subject to change without notice. Protection Plans are not under contract. One month minimum.
